Thermographers Toolkit

IR cameras calculate temperature based on the data that the thermographer inputs into the camera, therefore it is important that this data is accurate. Traditionally thermographers have used there judgement to estimate distance, humidity, etc… and have used their cameras to measure background and ambient temperatures.

The iRTk Thermographers Toolkit contains all the additional instrumentation required for successful IR inspections, humidity and distance meters take the guess work out of thermography by giving accurate data from a secondary source to input required parameters into the camera / software, also using an IR thermometer (spot radiometer) to measure the RAT (Background temperature) gives you an additional measuring device to confirm these temperatures.

The iR-Tk also contains some useful implements such as:

• IR mirror
      For those hard to see targets, background temperatures, etc….
• A selection of emissivity stickers / target markers from the IRISS iR-iD range
      Thermographers are continually having to compensate for material emissivity and
      reflection, IR targets allow the thermographer to standardise these values, and in turn improve the results of the inspection
• IR transmitive polymer sheets.     Useful for temporary lens covers, IR Windows, etc…
• A panel access tools
• Ratchet screwdriver tool set
• Voltage proximity device.

Thermohygrometer

Fluke Volt Light LVD1  
A Non-contact AC voltage detector and LED flashlight combined in one convenient, compact design. With exclusive dual-sensitivity. The voltage detector glows blue when it's near AC voltage, and glows red when it's at the source. Detects voltages from 40 V AC to 300 V AC. Voltage detector glows blue 50 Hz - 60 Hz or 2.5 - 38 cm (1 - 5") away from source. Operating temperature 0 °C to 50 °C.

IR Reflective Mirror, Emissivity Tape and IR Transmitive polymer  
The toolkit also contains a Stainless Steel IR Mirror for use in those hard to get areas, as well as a selection of emissivity stickers useful as target markers, especially on those shiny surfaces, all stickers have an emissivity of 0.92-0.95, and come in differing shapes, sizes and colours.
Also in the toolkit are 4 pieces of IR transmitive polymer, the transmission of the polymer is approx %70 at 9 microns and can be used in numerous conditions such as temporary protective lens covers, IR windows, etc…
