We offer a range of ir transmissive materials for use in infrared windows. Depending on application we may suggest Sapphire (short wave high temperatures), coated zinc Selenide ( top transmission across a wide temperature band), or calcium fluoride (indoor electrical applications where visible images are required). By and large we find that the ir polymer is best suited for general purpose electrical inspections. It transmits well, it is unaffected by moisture or low levels of acids or alkalis and it is built to the IEEE standard for viewing panes in medium and high voltage switchgear (C37.20.2 section A.3.6). This window is guaranteed for the life of the installation.
